Breast Cancer Awareness Day
The International Maaref University is pleased to invite you to attend the activities of Breast Cancer Awareness Day, which coincides with the International Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This event is organized in coordination with the Health Services Administration in Janzour Municipality and will take place on Thursday, October 12, 2023, at the university auditorium. The program includes several informative lectures on the medical, psychological, and social aspects of breast cancer care, as well as raising awareness about the importance of early detection and prevention methods.
Program Objectives:
1- Raising community awareness about the risk factors that increase the likelihood of breast cancer.
2- Importance of early detection, target audience, and service availability.
3- Fighting breast cancer from detection to treatment.
4- Prevention methods.
Breast cancer
is one of the most common types of cancer worldwide. In 2020, breast cancer
ranked fifth globally among the most common causes of cancer-related deaths.
Currently, there is not enough knowledge about the causes of breast cancer;
however, there is awareness of the risk factors that increase the likelihood of
its occurrence, making prevention and early detection crucial in combating it.
