Examination and Evaluation System
The Scientific Department is responsible for distributing the percentage of the student's grades on his evaluation components: (Classwork – Final Exam) during the semester, where the total evaluation score is (100) points, and the following criteria must be considered:
1- A percentage of (40%) of the total grades is allocated for classwork, taking into account the seriousness of the student in discussions and attendance of lectures and practical training.
2- A percentage of (60%) of the total grades is allocated for the final exam.
3- Distribution of Assessment Scores: The distribution of assessment scores is determined by the college council based on a presentation from the scientific department council.
The student's achievement during the study (classwork) in each registered course is evaluated as follows:
1-
Conducting
at least one test not exceeding (30%) of the course curriculum. In addition to
practical and oral exams, and other continuous evaluation and monitoring
methods during the semester.
2- Classwork tests are conducted at separate intervals according to the announced dates for mid-term exams.
The student is considered to have failed in any course:
1-
If they
obtain less than 50% of the total grades for the general subjects specified by
the college.
2-
If
they obtain less than 60% of the total grades for medical subjects.
3-
If
they obtain less than 40% of the written exam grade or the practical exam grade
for any course.
4-
If
they obtain less than 60% of the total grades for the clinical part of the
course, and in this case, they are assigned a failing grade.
5-
If
the student is absent from any part of the final exam for the written,
practical, oral, or clinical part of the course.
6- The failing student has the right to apply for an objective review for no more than two courses.
The student is excused from their absence for compelling circumstances that prevent them from continuing their studies or taking exams, provided that the recommendation for accepting their justified absence is issued by the Study and Examinations Committee and approved by the College Council, which entails the following:
1-
If
they are absent from the mid-term exam for a specific course, the grade of this
exam is calculated along with the grade of the final written exam.
2-
If
they are absent from the final exam for a specific course, that course is
dropped from registration for that semester.
3- Their registration is suspended for the semester in which they were unable to continue their studies or take all their final exams.
In all cases,
the absent student must submit a written request justifying their absence along
with supporting documents within a maximum period of one week from the date of
absence.
Warning and dismissal from study
The student is warned in the following cases:
1-
If
they are absent from studies or training for a period exceeding two weeks
without providing a justifiable excuse accepted by the college.
2-
If
their enrollment is not renewed for any reason for a period exceeding 25% of
the semester's duration.
3-
If
they fail to complete any study unit during a semester.
4-
If
their cumulative GPA falls below 35% (Very Poor).
5-
If
their semester average falls below 60% in any semester.
6-
If
they fail to complete at least 14 study units by the end of the second semester
studied at the college.
7-
If
they fail to complete at least 30 study units in the first four semesters
studied at the collage .
8-
If
they fail to complete 60 study units within 6 semesters from the start of their
studies at the college, and for transfer students, 60 units within 6 equivalent
semesters, including what was credited to them upon transfer, plus what they
have completed at the college after the transfer.
9-
If
they fail a course three times during their studies at the college.
The student is dismissed and their right to study at the college
ends in one of the following cases:
1-
If
they are absent from studies or training without a valid reason for one full
academic year or two consecutive semesters.
2-
If
they receive a very poor overall grade in two consecutive semesters out of the
first four semesters.
3-
If
they exceed the specified study duration according to the regulations of the
Study and Examinations Regulations.
4-
If a
disciplinary decision is issued for their dismissal from the college.
5-
If
they receive four consecutive warnings during their study period at the
college.
Violations and disciplinary sanctions
The student is subject to investigation and discipline if they commit an act within the college or any of its annexes that constitutes a violation of the laws and regulations applicable at the university or if they refuse to fulfill their duties. The student remains subject to disciplinary measures from the date of enrollment until the termination of this status by graduation or cancellation of enrollment. It is the student's responsibility to adhere to the rules of general conduct within the college and the university throughout the study period, to adhere to appropriate university attire, appearance, and behavior according to the norms of etiquette and public order. Additionally, the student is required to adhere to the following:

Regular
attendance of lectures, discussions, and assigned practical training, and
completion of required research and assignments.
·
Regular
attendance of lectures within the assigned group, with no right to change the
group except with written approval from the course instructor and the study and
examination department.
· Attendance of mid-term and final exams for the courses in each semester and adherence to the regulations governing the conduct of exams issued by the college or the examination committee and invigilators, or the course instructor.
The following actions are considered violations warranting disciplinary action:
· Assaulting members of the faculty, students, or university staff.
· Misappropriation of university funds or its facilities.
· Violation of the study and examination regulations.
· Committing any behavior contrary to ethics or that undermines
public order and morals.
